What We Believe

We are followers of Jesus Christ, rooted in the historic Wesleyan-Methodist tradition and committed to the eternal truths of God’s holy Word.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God; the true guide for how we live, worship, and serve.

We believe in one God (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) revealed fully in Jesus Christ, who lived, died, and rose again so that all people might be forgiven, redeemed, and restored.

We believe all have sinned and fallen short of God’s purposes for humanity, but by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, we are reunited with God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

We believe in grace: that God reaches out to every person, that faith in Jesus Christ alone brings salvation, and that through faithful discipleship the Holy Spirit continually transforms us into the likeness of Christ. This path toward holiness of our whole being (“sanctification”) is at the very core of what it means to be Methodist.

We believe the Church exists to make disciples, worship God passionately, and love our neighbors as ourselves.

We believe in the sacraments (Baptism and Holy Communion) as sacred gifts Christ has given His people to be divine evidence and means of experiencing God’s grace.
